An Associated Press article in the Denver Post reported that new "research based on two African fossils [Homo habilis and Homo erectus] suggests our family tree is more like a wayward bush with stubby branches..." Previously, the evolution theory suggested that the latter evolved from the former, but the new research, based on fossils that date to about the same time period, suggests both coexisted for about half a million years. In an attempted analogy, the study co-author said "it's the equivalent of finding that your grandmother and great-grandmother were sisters rather than mother-daughter." I'm not even going to try to figure out what that analogy means, but what I want to know is when will the Family Bush Maker software come out?
