After I finished my New Years Genealogy Resolutions post I looked under my computer desk and saw a big plastic tub I aim to do something with this year. Inside of this tub are my mother's four photo albums, two WW II scrapbooks, hundreds of letters and knickknacks she collected prior to getting married in 1952. My number one resolution is to catalog, scan, and somehow preserve as much of this material as I can. I've been threatening to do this for the last couple of years, but I need to do it now to ensure this material is available in the future.

Tim, I hope you and your readers join us for a Scanfest now and again...it's a great way to get started on these kinds of projects. The next one will be held January 27th. For more details, click here.
